Native Ministries

I have had the privilege of living on the Reservation at Round Valley (Covelo), in Northern California. Round Valley consists of seven Tribes, six of which are the descendants of Tribes that were forcefully displaced from other areas of the west coast. Round Valley, like every other Reservation, has its share of drugs and alcoholism, suicide and hopelessness, because of the atrocities perpetrated against the Native American people.

Our goal as Cultural People, is to implement programs that integrate Native American dances and traditional values to build relational bridges holistically – spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

We live on the Reservation because it is crucial to developing trust and relationships. We plan on implementing “life skills” programs for the children and young adults and also support families through the distribution of much needed necessities. Our goal is to embrace all age levels of the community. We also travel to neighboring Reservations building bridges of hope. I have traveled and ministered in different cultural groups and have come to see the need for instilling hope, identity and value through each distinctive people group’s culture.
